SUMMARY:Lock 28 to Connie drift
DESCRIPTION:This is a great short drift dive starting at the “Wreck Wee Hawk”. We then swim to the entrance of Lock 28 and then drift downstream and eventually cross into the main channel and end up on the Conestoga (Connie)\, where you can loop around. We often also dive back to near the entrance location. \nIn the bottom left of the image below\, you can see the “Wreck Wee Hawk”.

SUMMARY:Tobermory
DESCRIPTION:A group of divers is going to Tobermory for two days of diving.  Although this is not an FSAC run activity\, we are providing the information here to share the opportunity for those interested.  This is an excellent dive location with great wrecks and quite good visibility.  Only Advanced Level divers should consider this site because of  the depth of some sites and the cold water temperature. \nTobermory Marin Park \n \nCost: \nThe cost per day for the charter is $1391 + HST divided by the number of divers.   The boat can hold a max of 12 divers and likely 5 spots are already taken.  We will do 3 or 4 dives / day. \nNote that the water is cold here at depth (40 to 45 oF) so divers must have two 7mm layer wetsuits (or dry suites)\, hoods and thick gloves. \nFriday will be a travel day. It is recommended to use a dive float as their can be some boat traffic. You will also want to have a light. \nThe image below shows the parking area in blue or you can park along the side of the road. The red line shows the general dive plan. There are six orange buoys which are tied down by chain\, which can be seen underwater.

SUMMARY:Ivy Lea Campground
DESCRIPTION:This is a great dive location for several reasons. The vis can be better than other shore dive areas\, there is lots of depth along the wall if desired and the wall in interesting to see. There are two dive locations. The 1st and most popular is to enter beside the beach area. There is no current in this cove to speak of so it makes for a great entry area. The 2nd entry area is at the south-west end of the park. Divers can then drift to the beach area. The map below shows the drift start and end and shows the location of a small wreck at 80 ft.\n \nBoth areas are indicated on the satellite image at the top of this page. \nAttached is the Ivy Lea Campground map: 2023-Ivy-Lea \nYou can unload your gear near the diver area but then must move your car to the “P” parking area. Getting there early will improve your chances of getting a spot \nCost: there is a fee of about $20 per diver. Each diver needs to complete a form at the Visitor Centre and pay the fee when arriving.\n\n\n\nIvy Lea Campground website.
