DESCRIPTION:The Open Water Scuba Diver course is the entry-level course for your new scuba adventure. This course begins with an e-learning package that is to be completed prior to in-class instruction. Once completed\, you will start the in-class instruction\, consisting of classroom sessions with your instructor and pool training. After you have mastered the in pool training\, we head off to complete open-water dives. \nTo participate in the Open Water Scuba course\, you must be a minimum of 18 years of age or 10 years of age with parental permission. 15 years of age or under require a guardian to participate alongside them in the course\, either as a beginner or as a certified scuba diver. \nCourse requires 4 days of instruction. \n\n9 & 10 Sep 23 all day (exact start time TBA)\n16 & 17 Sep 23 all day (exact start time TBA)\nMember’s course cost: $599 + tax\n\nTo register you must already be a FSAC member. The course registration can be found at the CFMWS Ottawa BookKing website under Courses>Adults>General>Open Water 2302. DESCRIPTION:The Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assist and administer the necessary first aid in the event of an emergency. DESCRIPTION:The cylinder Visual Inspection Procedures (VIP) Course is designed to promote safety\, care and maintenance of high-pressure scuba cylinders. The VIP program aims to demonstrate to the scuba industry the need to meet and exceed the minimum standards established by the Transport Canada Dangerous Goods Regulations. In addition\, it is intended to train inspectors in the proper handling\, filling\, and inspection techniques\, including the identification of the various defective conditions that can lead to cylinder rejection.
